CINEMATOGRAPHY:


Ellington Tynes, based in LA, possesses a diverse visual portfolio spanning multiple genres. His collaborations include brands such as Coach NY, AT&T, and KFTK to name a few. In the realm of narrative storytelling, he’s lensed works such as The Visitation, by Karl Sanders and Public Relations directed by Thomas Stewart. His cinematographic reach extends to projects like HBO’s Emmy Nominated, Stockton on My Mind with projects on ARTE, STARZ, and Netflix. Ellington’s entry into the visual arts began after finding his family’s 1930’s Kodak Flash Bantam camera at age 15. A few years later he was studying film in Paris Fr. at Le Conservatoire Libre Du Cinéma Française and earning a Bac +3. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with distinguished directors such as Marc Levin, Stéphane Benhamou, Cecilia Peck, and recently has come under the guidance of Michael Goi ASC through the ICG Mentorship Program.

DIRECTING:


Building upon his established foundation in cinematography, Ellington Tynes has adeptly transitioned into directing, where his innate storytelling abilities have come to the fore. Currently focused on branded content and documentaries, he interprets both brand narratives and real-life tales with a meticulous touch. His directorial collaborations with noteworthy names such as Coach NY,France Televisions IRL, KFTK, and OH More underscore his ability to craft resonant narratives that captivate audiences. With each project, Ellington showcases his commitment to the art of storytelling and he ensures every frame is infused with purpose and emotion.
